Captain Josh is a seasoned charter captain, passionate sailor, and global explorer who brings a unique blend of professionalism, warmth, and wanderlust to every journey at sea. As a certified RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, he has captained extensively throughout the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, with a special love for the British Virgin Islands. His in-depth local knowledge of hidden coves, lively beach bars, and peaceful anchorages helps transform a great vacation into an extraordinary one.

Born in Europe and fluent in four languages, Josh effortlessly connects with guests from all walks of life. His calm, approachable demeanor, keen attention to detail, and enthusiasm for the ocean make him a trusted favorite for families, couples, and adventure-seekers alike.

Keagan van Blerk – Chef and Stewardess of Crystal Dreams

South African-born Chef Keagan van Blerk is an adventurer at heart, an ocean lover by nature, and a self-taught culinary talent with a passion for global flavors and coastal living. Raised in Pretoria and homeschooled with the freedom to follow her passions, Keagan always knew her life would be shaped by exploration and curiosity.

Her path began with lifeguarding and scuba diving, but it was aboard sailing yachts that she found her true calling—merging her love for the sea with her creativity in the galley. Cooking her way through stunning coastal destinations, she developed a unique style that’s as vibrant and inspiring as the places she visits.

A pivotal moment in Keagan’s culinary journey came during her time in Kenya and Zanzibar. Immersed in the rich culture and spice markets of the region, she discovered a love for bold, aromatic flavor combinations that continue to influence her dishes today.

For the past two years, Keagan has been based in the Caribbean, embracing island life and drawing inspiration from local ingredients, traditions, and people. Her food is more than a meal—it’s a celebration of culture, connection, and story.

With every dish, Keagan brings a fresh, soulful perspective to the table, creating memorable dining experiences that reflect her journey and the joy of life at sea.

  • Wow! What an amazing week with the fab team Heinrych and Majori! We got on the boat as a family uncomfortable on the water and left as a family who cant wait to charter again! Heinrych and Majori are such a great duo - so gracious and welcoming - we felt like they were family by the weeks end.

  • What a beautiful week! We could not have had better weather, the boat was amazing - all of the amenities you could ask for on a boat. The hike up to Rams head was well worth it, Don't let the look of the distance stop you! Snorkelling at Sal pond was great too. Lime out was great, all the tacos were very good. Anything that we asked for, Heinrych went out of his way to get. Majori's homemade scones were great!

Their planning and execution on all fronts was top notch. The catamaran was in excellent condition and all amenities were there when needed. We cannot say enough about how fantastic this trip was!   • Our catamaran charter in the BVIs aboard the Crystal Dreams was an unforgettable experience, and Captain Josh and Chef Keegan took it well beyond our expectations. We all knew it was going to be a beautiful and exciting trip but didn’t truly know what to expect with the boat experience. From the moment we stepped aboard, we felt completely taken care of. They were incredibly kind and intuitive making a point to anticipate our needs both individually and as a group.

    Captain Josh was exceptionally organized with the itinerary while still giving us flexibility and carefully considering group interest. He is clearly an excellent captain and had the perfect balance of professionalism and fun, running a tight ship while still being easygoing.

    Chef Keegan was absolutely impressive always delivering beautiful and delicious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We had no idea we could expect that level of service on the boat. The few times we did eat off board, we wondered what we were missing out on. She was very attentive to preferences and carefully considered individual portions to satisfy all, as well as creating special celebrations for two birthdays on our trip. Not only was the food amazing, but her fun-loving personality brightening the entire trip.

    Our group will be talking about this charter for years! We are so grateful that Captain Josh and Chef Keegan created a seamless, welcoming atmosphere that elevated our experience.   • Dear crew, I will forever be grateful for Captain Josh keeping us safe and being so protective of the boat and his passengers. He is knowledgeable and a wonderful captain. He knows where we are going, what time to get there and the ride was as smooth as possible the whole time. He really cares about his job and the boat.

    Keagen is a gifted chef!!! My goodness- everything she touched was spectacular and made with the greatest attention and detail. She is inspiring- we all want her recipes and to cook like her! The itinerary was out of this world! We didn't want to leave and want to go back as soon as possible. We can't decide where we like the best!! There was not one single spot we didn't love. The snorkeling was amazing, jumping of the top of the boat was a definite highlight for the kids! The open cabin was so spacious and peaceful. The early morning sails were so tranquil, Christmas morning will be treasured forever!!! This was a bucket list trip in a beautiful part of the world! We loved out time as a family laughing and enjoying one another!

  • Everything on our charter was fabulous!  We will definitely be chartering again.  Everyone fell in love with sailing & the BVI’s-It truly is a magical place.  The highlight of our trip was when we anchored off Necker Island in the most stunningly beautiful bay.  It was so serene & the color of the water was breathtaking.  To be with our loved ones in such a peaceful place felt like heaven.  Some snorkeled some floated on raft, lots of fun conversations... it was pure perfection!



    I strongly encourage Keagan to do a cookbook.  She has a lot of amazing recipes from homemade condiments to the fabulous dishes she prepared for us.
